The company is a subsidiary of Clorox that describes itself as an "Earth friendly, Natural Personal Care Company" making products for personal care, health, beauty, and personal hygiene. Its products are distributed globally.

Kayla J mentioned in a review "I do not like any of the flavored Burt's Bees lip balms. They smell great but for some reason the formula just doesn't seem to be the same once the scents/flavors are added. I love the brand but i do not like any of the flavored balms. The price point is typical. I do not like any of the flavored Burt's Bees lip balms. "When I was working their they gave me a hard time but I keep working hard and do My best"

Package Handler (Former Employee) says

"This job was okay when I started, but things started to change. New management showed up and hounded the workers. I received little help when needed and nobody did anything about it. Work you to death, go home come back, do it again."

Filling Technician (Former Employee) says

"If there is 1 person that has a position don't like you, you are out the door. They make up lies and have other coworkers to lie with them. I know from experience. Cons: Favortism, management sucks specifically the one's they call The Bulls"

production associate (Current Employee) says

"Not a good place for anyone who has worked at top manufacturing company's with experience is a great place for someone in their teens. Cons: training program is the worst"

Assembly line worker and Material Handler (Former Employee) says

"The workplace was ok. We as a whole just desired more money. for the type of work that we were performing. I went through an temp agency . I would have rather worked the 1st shift instead of 2nd Cons: no gum chewing"

Filling Technician (Current Employee) says

"If you are a worker bee, it's very chaotic. Plans change constantly and you must just deal with it. This is not a career, just a start in manufacturing. Absolutely no career growth as promised when you start. Wouldn't recommend to anyone unless you are unemployed. I know, current employee. Cons: Extremely chaotic and unorganized"

Customer Support Analyst (Former Employee) says

"Working at Burts was a great opportunity for me. The work was difficult but the people made it no so stressed. I enjoyed all my coworkers. The most enjoyable thing about my job was meeting such wonderful people and the culture of the business Cons: A lot of work"

Fill Technician (Current Employee) says

"Leadership is poor Never acknowledged or supported. Most of leadership are men and they cater to the women who wears tight pants with shapes Hard to move up on skill blocks to get pay raise. Starting pay isn’t bad but it’s not fair to see ppl moving up making more that doesn’t work as hard. Only bc their liked. Hours aren’t bad and they do give a lot of products (give always) to employees. Cons: Poor leadership/difficult to move up on skill blocks"

Package Handler (Former Employee) says

"Good job not enough pay but everyone there is friendly and help out a lot but it’s not enough money for the work that they want you to do and long time on your feet Cons: Bad pay"

Line Operator (Former Employee) says

"I put together products to be shipped out to stores. Had all but one person that only spoke Spanish as their only language other then yes and no. It was very hard to learn and to keep up because I was being told two to three different ways the products were supposed to be put together."

Forklift Operator (Former Employee) says

"typical warehouse work, the management is not the greatest to work for. The best part of the day was at the end of my shift. Management look out for themselves and not the employs Cons: bad management team"

Quality Inspector (Former Employee) says

"A typical day was getting our assignment for the day. On some days we pack product. There are other days where I inspected product and stack product on pallets. The hardest part was not knowing if you was going to work a whole shift or not work at the next day. The co workers was great and even the supervisor was great. Cons: Standing for long periods and hours were unpredictable."

Fill tech (Current Employee) says

"There's definitely a lack of systems in place for training on all levels. It's a very chaotic unorganized experience from the beginning. It is a decent place to start your manufacturing career but if you have ever worked at a top mfg facility you will be very disappointed. I do not recommend this place for the long term. There is a lot of tension between groups on the floor. Cons: Health benefits, pay. Not a very team oriented atmosphere despite their best intentions"

Material Handler (Former Employee) says

"Very flexible with hours, friendly workplace , and management was okay. what I enjoyed most was that you had different projects to work on each day not unless it was a two day project !!"

housekeeping (Former Employee) says

"i worked from 7-3 i have learned more about the house keeping and what its really all about me and my supervisor was the only team members and that turned out to be a bad experience for me. walking around the ware house with the still toes shoes was the hard part for me breaks to meet and greet with other workers of the company6"

Sanitize technician (Former Employee) says

"I would work my you know what off and when I would look up to see what my co-worker (permanent) was doing, he was either taking a long break or hiding. Now, as a temp I felt like I was doing all the work, the managers knew what was going on and still would not do anything except try to have me "rat him out", which would put me in a dangerous position; I don't know what his intentions would be, I didn't know him, especially if they know that he has history of this behavior. The only manager who was competent, and has been there for years, I observed and felt that he was not treated fairly; he worked more to compensate for other pitfalls. Everybody would always backstab each other, always had to watch myself from being stabbed."

Receiving Clerk (Former Employee) says

"Warehouse crews are very welcoming and eager to help out. Middle management has issues with new ways of production. if you have a suggestion they will tell you that it doesn't make sense and then 3-6 months later they use your ideas."

Production Associate (Former Employee) says

"The overall working environment is great. Fast paced the way I like so I stay busy and very competitive. I learned how to run, fix and troubleshoot an machine that fills lip balm tubes with hot liquid and cool at the same time."

Packer (Former Employee) says

"it was ok job very nice people you packed the product made sure it was not damaged and shipped it off you worked fast and the day went fast the hardest part of the job was wearing the still toe boots"

Andrew Laubach says

"Ordered product December 14th, 2020 and still not arrived Jan 7, 2021. I paid extra $10 for two day delivery. I cancelled order and Burt's is not reimbursing for my extra $10 expedited delivery fee Horrible customer service. Buy somewhere else."

"Ordered on 16th Dec still not received the Christmas present I ordered. It’s now 27th Dec I have a tracking number that says dispatched but there’s no update on the Hermes website. Nobody is getting to the bottom of the delay. No idea if the item is even in stock???"

Wayne Sims says

"Give this company a wide birth if you want to keep your sanity. Ordered various products for Christmas presents in November still waiting for them to arrive. Have been told that they are not in stock and they don't know when they will be ? Have requested a refund have been consistently fobbed off via email saying they have requested refund for me however I am still waiting. If I were you I wouldn't bother to use them just look at the customer service reviews"

Leyla O says

"So disappointed and shocked with the lack of customer service. I ordered a number of items in their Black Friday Sale on 27 November. I was informed that they had been dispatched on 5 December. However, a week later still no sign of the package and no update on the Royal Mail tracking site. I sent a message via my account and was told that there was an issue in delivery, which there can't have been as I have been at home all the time. I was then told that there was a delay and needed to wait 7 working days to report something missing, which I did. Still nothing, I messaged them again to be told that they weren't sure what had happened and would give me a refund. I tried to phone and was on the line for 40 minutes with an automated voice telling me I was number 1 in the queue. No-one responded during this time and the option to leave a message was not working. I messaged again to highlight this and was told a refund had been issued. No discussion, no option to respond or receive a voucher, which I would have expected. Really upset and disappointed. I will not be shopping here again and this has been a deeply frustrating experience showing a real lack of support for customers. I would say do not use their online shop."

Donald Walker says

"The package of chlorine-free wipes I bought will not dispense properly. I've wasted almost half of the wipes getting them to dispense 1 at a time as they should. Too pricey to waste like this! Won't be using BB products again. Their website also isn't conducive to receive complaints by e-mail. Can't deal with a company who seems pretty un-reachable in terms of helping customers who have issues."

Venetia Flint says

"Extremely sticky hand cream in which gave me a rash. Do not recommend."

SJo says

"Waited 2 weeks for what i thought was 2 small items and 1 larger item. The treat box for £16.99 is absolutely tiny. I was expecting this to be the larger item. And i opened the seperate lip balm i’d ordered to find half of it stuck in the lid, and what was left looked like it’d been chewed up. Not impressed to be honest when paying these prices."

Gail Williams says

"I used to buy their cocoa lip shimmer all the time. I would order direct 10 or 20 at a time. It was never in stock at the pharmacy, as so many people use it. ONCE AGAIN, FOR THE 2ND TIME, they have discontinued it. It's really baffling as many women are asking for it on their website.....It's all I've used for 15 years, now I have to fine a new product. Weird"

Marie says

"Their lip moisturizer is still my favorite of any brand I've ever tried. But recently tried the baby shampoo and it smelled like perfume and made me break out. I see they used to have a fragrance free one but cant find it anywhere. The best sensitive skin shampoo I've used recently is Cetaphil's baby shampoo. Also, had bad experience with Free & Clear shampoo, very drying, and gave me a whole body rash!"
